JOHN DAVID HEINSEN President and Executive Producer
At Bunnygraph, a digital content and consultancy company, Mr. Heinsen works with writers and talent to create serialized integrated multi-platform formats for television, interactive/web and mobile platforms in what he calls “Storytelling through Advanced Content”. He is currently under contract with the Disney ABC Television Group working as Director of Production and Lead for Oscar.com, overseeing all web, mobile and social media for the 84th Academy Awards.
His 18 year career includes experience as Manager of Primetime Programming at the FOX Broadcasting Company, where he helped oversee numerous series including "Family Guy" and "That 70's Show". He has also worked in the Branded Entertainment division of International Creative Management (ICM) and has produced for Castle Rock Entertainment.
Mr. Heinsen serves on the Board of Delegates of the New Media Council for the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and is the Co-Chair of Mobile. He was recently named to the Executive Committee of the Interactive Peer Group of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences. A well regarded authority on the subject of digital entertainment and technology; his recent public engagements include The Circle Conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE; the Pi-Fan Fantastic Film Festival in Seoul, South Korea and the Global Retailing Conference. Additionally, Mr. Heinsen is the Founder and Executive Producer of the Altadena Comedy Festival and an Adjunct Professor for Columbia College Chicago - Semester in LA.
Originally from Chicago, Mr. Heinsen received his MFA while a Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute (AFI) and is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He lives in Los Angeles.
